DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE (About the Department)

The Department of Computer Science was established in 2015 to impart quality education in Computer Science. The Department has modern facilities for teaching, learning and research. The Department offers a wide area of research opportunities and programs of study at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The Department started a 2-year M.Sc. Computer Science programme in the year 2021 with the aim to develop core competence in Computer Science and prepare the students to carry out development work, as well as take up challenges in research.

Objectives:

• To Introduce new Programmes like MCA /M. Tech/Ph.D. in Computer Science.
• To invite the panel of eminent Professors in Computer Science throughout the academic session subsequently.
• To set up a Departmental Placement Cell, Computer lab, Parallel Computing lab and Departmental Library.
• Prioritize rigorous academic standards and research productivity among the students.
• Encourage publication of high-impact research papers, securing grants, and participation in prestigious conferences.
• Promote collaboration with other departments and external partners to tackle complex challenges.
• Leverage expertise from diverse fields to drive innovation and develop impactful solutions.
• Encourage entrepreneurship among students and faculty through startup initiatives and industry-sponsored projects.
• Foster strong ties with industry partners to enhance employability and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Organize workshops, seminars, and outreach events to promote digital literacy and inspire future technologists.
• Address societal challenges through technology-driven solutions and community partnerships for sustainable development.
